Equipment Condition Reviews
Over 1900 assets were reviewed with input and hard data from cross-functional teams, including Operations, Safety, Quality & Environment, as well as Maintenance. Open dialogue between the "Users" and the "Maintainers", clarified the expectations from equipment, as well as the standards needed in order to meet customer and regulatory demands.
Understanding and knowing the true condition of key, operational assets is fundamental to a reliable and predictable output from those assets.
To know the true condition of assets, we need to know the assets design capabilities and understand how that compares to the performance required from those assets.
Not based on a "gut feel", but on a methodical approach, where performance data and measurements are used to provide a baseline. Over time, movements from the baseline show quantifiable, performance drift, as the assets wear and age.
With links to the risks that each asset poses to the Business Outcomes, maintenance strategies and Capital Investment can be effectively adapted and manage to mitigate those asset-based risks to the business.
